Over time, it changed its shape, until 1901 the legendary architect Konstantīns Pēkšēns (1859-1928), who rebuilt the building in what can be seen today, became the architect of the building reconstruction. The building becomes a 5-storey apartment building, with shops and workshops at 1st floor. At different times 1st Angļu tulkojums

What we have done and planned

In 2019, large-scale re-planning works were started. Extensive renovations were carried out, including the replacement of all engineering network structures. The facades were restored preserving all the facade elements created by the historical architect of the building Konstantin Peksen.

New, modern elevators have been installed, and the staircases were renovated respecting and preserving the fine message from the past. Spanish tiles with geometric patterns were chosen as the foundation, complemented by modern accents and lighting fixtures. Stair railings were carefully restored, paying attention to even the smallest details. The entrance door of each apartment was crafted in accordance with the designer’s vision, finely framing the secure door construction.

108 apartments have been created with an area ranging from 18 to 47 sqm. The apartments feature an impressive ceiling height of 3 meters. They are designed with the residents’ convenience in mind, providing niches for built-in closets and storage, spacious bathrooms, and well-thought-out kitchen areas.

The everyday life of a dynamic city dweller is unimaginable without a bicycle, which is why a spacious, lockable bicycle storage area is planned in the courtyard of the building. A recreation area is also planned in the sunny courtyard, where residents can meet with neighbors after an active day or simply enjoy warm summer evenings.
